The tidal wave of moronic drivel from university leftists seemingly knows no limits. As the article attached reports, a university paper article claims in the title that, "It's OK that conservatives don't feel welcome," followed by a bunch of nonsense summed up by the statement that conservative ideas don't "deserve equal consideration to that afforded liberal and left ideas."
Well, it might be worth the historically and philosophically illiterate cave dwellers who believe such drivel to consider the facts that make such a claim a logical paradox. Ready? Here it is:
'Conservative ideas are Liberal ideas!'
That's right folks, the vast majority of North American 'Conservatives' are, in fact, 'Liberals'. Yes, as in textbook John Locke, Adam Smith, Abraham Lincoln, John Stuart Mill, et al . . . LIBERALS!! They support liberal values of individual human rights, civil liberties and economic liberty. They believe in the equal intrinsic value of all human life, the core idea behind 'Egalitarian Universalism' and the foundation on which liberalism and liberal democracy rests. They believe in 'formal equality of opportunity' and 'justice' (equality before the law) and oppose the oppression and slavery that results from the very 'illiberal' concepts of 'equality of outcome' and 'social justice'.
So, I would be curious to ask the student author of that op-ed how it is that 'liberal ideas don't deserve equal consideration to that afforded liberal . . . ideas'. Back to the library my ignorant friend, time to spend your student loans actually learning something rather than falling into the trap described by JFK:
